I am a person who enjoys understanding what makes people tick and how the human mind works. I love reading, music and movies. I love hanging around and having spaced out conversations with my innermost circle of friends.

I am slightly introverted (I have seen expressions of shock greet my declaration of the same before)

I spend my time most enjoyably as the singer songwriter of motherjane, acknowledged as one of the top Indian rock bands.

I also enjoy working as an entreprenuer who has used his mechanical engineering background into setting up Suraj Mani Engineers Pvt Ltd, a leading HVAC contracting firm in Bangalore as a central airconditioning franchise for Blue Star Ltd.

I live in bangalore with my lovely wife and two kids. They are what I love coming home to when I finish my shows and tours. Its a thought that appears in one of our songs in the form of a line that says, "they say homes a place that ends a journey".

My love for sharing my experiences with others is balanced around my enjoyment of being human. thats why i find fulfillment in my role of being a singing sensei .You will find these lines in our song "mindstreet" where I say "believe me, not in me"
